Kindergarten

Kindergarten

What next after Kindergarten?

Parents who seek to continue the Waldorf education in the later years can continue the journey with us. For those who wish to be a part of mainstream education, we offer a transitional group in the last term of kindergarten. Age appropriateness is certainly the criteria for this group.

This group will meet after kindergarten hours, and we will prepare the child to make an easy and smooth transition for their forthcoming journey. Parents will need to get in touch with the school administrator before the child enters the final year of kindergarten.

Our Understandings for the Well-Being of Our Children

Punctuality

School begins at 9:40 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. Late arrivals will strictly not be allowed after July 15th. It is important for the child, their peers, and the teacher to begin the day together.

Please be on time to pick up your child after school at 1:30 p.m. Teachers need to wind up their day and prepare for the next day. Additionally, we have a daycare program, and late pick-ups can disrupt the rhythm of the other children.

Food

  • A vegetarian nutrient meal is freshly cooked and served daily.

  • On the last Thursday of each month, parents are welcome to join our community kitchen to prepare delicious meals for the little ones.

Birthday Celebrations

  • Birthdays are special days for our children, and their celebration is special at school. The child gets to hear their birthday story from the teacher. Parents need to provide the teacher with the story of their child’s journey so that it can be woven into a special story narrated on their special day. We narrate stories instead of reading them at school, so the teacher needs your support in preparing for your child’s special day. Please provide the inputs at least 20 days prior to the birthday.

  • Instead of a birthday cake, parents are requested to send an Indian sweet, preferably homemade.

  • Please do not give return gifts.

  • If the birthday falls over the weekend, we celebrate it on Monday at school. If it occurs during vacations, we celebrate it after the school reopens.

Attendance

  • Regularity in school is crucial for a child’s overall rhythm and well-being.
  • Plan holidays carefully to support this regularity.
  • Inform the school in advance if your child will be joining after the reopening date following a vacation.

Sick Leave

If your child is not feeling well, it is best to keep them at home to ensure they get the complete rest they need. Make sure they receive the appropriate medication and care during their illness. They should only return to school once they are fully recovered.

Fee payments

Kindly ensure that the fee installments are paid on time.
